RT BROKERAGE SERVICES IN SEATTLE

Inman News (a leading real estate online news service) featured RT Brokerage Services in Seattle.  Inman has been forecasting a move to fee based services for the real estate industry since October of 2008.  I have only been waiting for over 20 years.  Finally, the best thing about this economic change, there are some brokerages making this move.  Check out the RT website - www.rtbrokerage.com - it is really well done and the presentation of how they work is really amazing - total transparency which is refreshing for brokerages.

I know there have been some fees based franchises starting up in the upper mid-west and east coast.  I honestly feel if brokerages do not embrace this, they will be left behind.  It seems both Agents and Brokers are terrified of giving up their commissions.  However, they have never been terrified of spending most of their time of free services.  There has been no balance of the fees paid for value in that industry with the commission structure.  A very few people (i.e. those that pay the commissions) end up paying for a huge number of free client services for others (i.e. the Sellers that don't price homes to sell and Buyers that don't buy.)  When I was an active Agent there were lots of times I advised Sellers not to sell and Buyers not to buy because that was in their best interests.  That is extremely valuable advice that was never paid for.
