Working as a Real Estate Consultant with clients throughout the United States and the Virgin Islands, Cathy Cavanagh has gained over 30 years of experience in watching the Real Estate market and how it affects her clients. She is committed to educating people about their options to benefit from real estate ownership. By starting with as little as $20,000 (quite often pulled out of their residential equity), she can coach clients through doubling and tripling their Net Worth over time and minimizing their taxes. She has seen first hand the advantage of those who have to rely on their own resources to build their estates and income to build both areas with realistic smart real estate investments.

After a degree in both Accounting and Economics and obtaining her CPA, she chose to emphasize working with small businesses. Her career started in the Colorado, Kansas and Wyoming area. She primarily found herself counseling Farmers on how they could save the family farm by looking out of the box and growing crops to meet the current market.

Twenty-one years ago, she decided she was ready for a change and after doing extensive research decided to head to the Northwest and particularly, to San Juan Island. She felt very strongly that she could find a niche in this real estate/small business dependent economy that was surely going to grow. She was right.

Within two years of arriving on San Juan Island, Cathy had received her Brokers License and was on her way to building her own Brokerage. Later purchasing the Windermere franchise, she was able to see first hand how the real estate market worked in San Juan County. In the early 1990's, she became active with the Washington Realtors. When she realized that no one was really teaching Realtors the value of investing in Real Estate, she applied to be an Instructor and developed and taught many classes over the next eight years. Teaching gave her the opportunity to learn about all the real estate markets throughout the State of WA.

The DSL and Broadband world opened up for Cathy, and she attracted many clients throughout the United States who simply could not find any one else with the combination of the deep tax knowledge along with the real estate investment opportunities. She has never met her bigger clients, but feels she know them better than anyone.

It is very clear to Cathy that there is a need for some very basic information about real estate as an investment and how it works. Her monthly newsletter will be aimed at offering the formulas, the financing, actual case studies and current tax law changes in the real estate investment area. This will be extremely useful to real estate professionals as well as real estate investors.
